Miserable Scotsman to cheer up Europe's Ryder Cup players
So it's Monty to take over the captaincy of the Ryder Cup - I reckon he is the best choice and was perhaps the most influential Ryder Cup player of the last 10-15 years. Here's hoping he can take that form on to being a captain and that he does raise a smile from time-to-time and look like he's enjoying it.

Phil Mickelson's 'man boobs' inspire revival in golf-heckling
I'm not sure how true this story is (Mickelson refutes the incident) but Tiger Wood's Kiwi caddie has certainly been milking it (so to speak) to ramp up his surprising animosity towards the World's number 2 golfer. Who ever said golf was a gentleman's sport?

The big man had a bad day in the Australian Open today carding a 78 but providing great entertainment for the crowd by snatching a man's camera and smashing it against the nearest tree.

Seve's not well - the hospital have announced he will have a 3rd operation to reduce swelling around the brain. Still no news on where / what type the tumour was; information which makes a big difference when it's inside your head.

Seve Ballesteros diagnosed with brain tumour
Doctors at Madrid's La Paz Hospital have found a tumour. Ballesteros says biopsy set for Tuesday; the golfing world holds its breath.
